The eBull forklift is set to make its commercial debut in late 2023, equipped with Loop Energy’s fuel cell system, the S300 (30 kW), which delivers high efficiency, long operational uptime, and low fuel consumption. It’s ideal for transporting bulk cargo, boats, and equipment in ports and marinas.

Hydrogen’s Role in the Energy Transition

This move towards hydrogen-electric vehicles comes at a time when California ports are committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2030. The availability of high-capacity hydrogen fueling stations, such as the ones in the Port of Los Angeles, has made hydrogen a viable and accessible solution to power port operations. Wiggins’ electric forklifts already operate at the Port of Stockton and Port of West Sacramento, and deliveries to the Port of San Diego, Port of Long Beach, and Port of Hueneme are expected this year.
